EET, THE ELECTRONIC REVENUE POSTING ACT
According to EET, the Electronic Revenue Posting Act (also known as electronic centralised registration of businesses’ cash sales), the seller is obliged to provide the buyer with a sales receipt. The seller is at the same time obliged to post the received revenue to the tax administrator´s online system; in the event of a technical outage within 48 hours at the latest.
OUT-OF-COURT SETTLEMENTS OF DISPUTES
Should a dispute arise between the contractual parties, the consumer shall have the right for such a dispute to be settled out of court. A motion for such an out-of-court dispute settlement pursuant to Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection, as amended, is to be forwarded to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (CTIA) by the consumer.
